Landlord borrowers can now receive £1,000 cashback if they improve the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) of their property from a D or below to a C or above during the fixed-rate period of selected mortgages.

Fleet Mortgages are offering this incentive in a bid to encourage landlords to carry out works required to improve their property’s EPC to future minimum levels.

Hopefully, other mortgage lenders will follow suit and, together, help support the UK’s transition to a more sutainable future. 

Both landlord and tenant stand to benefit from incentives such as this and achieving optimum EPC levels will also help the environment.
